Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract for GP Locally Commissioned Services to the Norfolk Park Health Centre, located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The contract, classified under the industry category of General-practitioner services, falls outside the typical procurement regulations and has been processed through a Provider Selection Regime under the Health care Services Regulations 2023. The award process was conducted without prior publication of a call for competition, and the contract commenced on 1st April 2025, set to run through to 31st March 2026.
This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the healthcare services sector, particularly those with the capability to integrate with established GP Framework contracts. The procurement method has favoured existing service providers, yet highlights an openness to expansion if additional providers meet the specified criteria. Small to medium-sized enterprises in the healthcare industry can view this as a growth opportunity in providing specialist general practitioner services, especially those with the capacity to work within the frameworks mandated by the NHS.
This contract Award has been made following direct award process A of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract will be from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026
