Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has confirmed the award of a contract for GP Locally Commissioned Services at Page Hall Medical Centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This procurement process falls under the Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulations 2023, and the Procurement Act Regulations 2023 do not apply. The contract, described as a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation, was awarded following a limited procurement method without prior publication of a call for competition.
The award decision was made by the Sheffield Senior Management Team in July 2024, and the contract is active from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. The industry category is general-practitioner services, which is a service sector within the healthcare industry. This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in healthcare services, particularly those already participating in the GP Framework, to expand their service offerings.
It is designed to enhance existing GP services by providing locally commissioned services, paid based on activity at local prices. Businesses that can deliver integrated healthcare services alongside existing framework contracts will find this tender especially beneficial. As the contract is currently awarded to an existing group of providers, new suppliers interested in similar future opportunities should ensure they meet the necessary specifications and criteria detailed in the GP Framework agreements.
Overall, this is an opportunity for SMEs and larger healthcare providers to collaborate and optimise their service delivery within the region's healthcare landscape.
This contract Award has been made following direct award process A of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract will be from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026
