Summary, notice description and lot information
The public procurement process was conducted by NHS South Yorkshire ICB, awarding a contract for GP Locally Commissioned Services at the Shiregreen Medical Centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The industry category for this process falls under general-practitioner services. This procurement process was finalised in the award stage, with the contract commencing on 1st April 2025 and concluding on 31st March 2026.
The contract was awarded through a limited procurement method without prior publication of a call for competition, under the Health care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This tender presents opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those capable of delivering services under the GP Framework alongside the Locally Commissioned Services (LCS). Such contracts are designed to enhance existing GP services, making it an ideal opportunity for GP providers.
SMEs with expertise in healthcare provision, particularly general practitioner services, and who can fulfil the specifications, will find this contract conducive to business growth in Sheffield and the surrounding regions.
This contract Award has been made following direct award process A of the Provider Selection Regime.

These contracts are awarded to an existing group of providers. Although we would not restrict the number of providers who deliver these LCS services provided they meet the contract and specification criteria, the primary reason that these services can only be delivered by this group of providers (GP) is because they are required to hold a contract via the GP Framework and deliver the LCS alongside these services; the LCS is designed to enhance the GP Framework contract and not stand alone, therefore, interdependency between the two services is paramount.

The provider is paid on an activity basis based on local prices. The contract will be from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026
