Summary, notice description and lot information
The MERSEY CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST has awarded a contract under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for the provision of Step Down Referral Pathways, classified under the "Health and social work services" category (CPV code 85000000). This contract facilitates a safe and sustained step-down referral process for Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs). The contract was awarded through a direct award process on 19 December 2024 and will be effective from 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2028, with a potential extension of two years.
The total contract value is £174,000, and the contract location is in Merseyside, UKD7. This tender offers substantial business growth opportunities for organisations specialising in health and social work services. The direct award process, which favours continuity and satisfaction of existing contracts, is ideal for providers with established performance records in similar services.
Businesses that can provide scalable and sustained healthcare solutions, particularly in mental health, will find this contract a strategic fit, offering a stable and extended engagement with the NHS.
MCFT intends to contract with Seans Place, 211 Linacre Lane, Liverpool, L20 6AD for the provision of a dedicated pathway to enable CMHTs to refer directly to enable a safe and sustained step down. MCFT is currently in contract with Seans Place. For the new contract MCFT requires the service to be mobilised from 01 April 2025 for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years. It is intended to award the contract in accordance with the Provider Selection Regime Regulations under Direct Award Process C where there is an existing provider for the services and that existing provider is satisfying the original contract and will likely satisfy the proposed new contract, and the services are not changing considerably. The Senior Leadership Team of Mental Health Care Division have made the decision for the award of this contract. No conflicts of interest have been identified and this has been recorded inline with Trust policy.
