Award of Dynamic Purchasing System for Domiciliary Care Services in Powys

Powys County Council has completed the award stage for a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) aimed at delivering Domiciliary Care Services in the Powys region. This initiative falls under the social protection category and utilises a restricted procurement procedure. Located in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, the council will manage this DPS over an initial ten-year period, with a provision to extend by an additional five years based on biennial evaluations.

The system has been designed to accommodate new providers on an ongoing basis through a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, catering specifically to regional areas such as North and South Powys. Participants in Lot 1 will provide domiciliary care services, including support for dementia patients, in urban and rural parts of Powys from August 2024. This tender offers substantial opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to provide domiciliary care services within Powys, reflecting a strategic focus on regional healthcare needs.
