Summary, notice description and lot information
The procurement process for the "Caradoc Surgery APMS" contract, initiated by the NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board, focuses on health services, specifically within the UKH14 region, based in Ipswich. The contract was awarded to Ranworth Partnership Limited, with an intended service period starting from 1 March 2026 to 28 February 2028, with an optional extension of two additional years. This process is classified under services with the CPV code 85100000.
The procurement was conducted using a limited method under the Provider Selection Regime, with a direct award procedure without previous publication of a call for competition, as per the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Key dates include a contract award on 5 August 2025, with delivery beginning on the designated start date. The total value of the contract is anticipated to be £6,163,888 excluding VAT.
This procurement offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those capable of delivering enhanced medical services akin to those stipulated in the alternative provider medical services contract. Businesses experienced in integrating and collaborating within an integrated care system, and those demonstrating innovation, social value, and value for money, are particularly well-suited to compete for such contracts. The contract allows for additional similar or complementary services to be included during its lifetime, suggesting potential future opportunities for service expansion and business growth.
Given the structured nature of the procurement method, businesses already aligned with the direct award process and those familiar with NHS operational frameworks will have a competitive advantage.
