Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board has completed an award procedure for a community cardiology service in Surrey Downs, managed by GP Health Partners Limited (GPHP). 1 million over two years from 1st April 2024 until 31st March 2026, is procured under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C. This ensures continued high-standard service delivery without material changes from previous contracts.
It aims to provide early diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions via non-invasive methods and is supported by regulations under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) 2023. Key components include services such as Simple ECG's and Ambulatory ECGs performed in local clinics, thereby enhancing accessibility and innovation in healthcare delivery. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare diagnostics, particularly those with expertise in cardiology or non-invasive diagnostic tools.
Organisations that focus on innovation and system integration would thrive by collaborating with local healthcare providers. The contract supports sustainable practices, including reducing patient travel, contributing to NHS's Net Zero commitments, and enhancing community resilience through local employment and training. With the emphasis on addressing health inequalities and promoting equitable access, businesses that can offer innovative solutions to improve healthcare accessibility, cost-efficiency, and quality of care are well positioned to benefit from participating in similar tenders.
This is a community cardiology service covering Surrey Downs. The diagnostic service is for Direct Access activity which includes: Simple ECG's, Ambulatory ECGs 24, 48 and 72 hours, and Simple Echocardiogram. Surrey Heartlands ICB intends to award GPHP a contract following a PSR Direct Award Process C. The approximate lifetime value of the contract will be PS1.1m over the 2 year term, from 1st April 2024 until 31st March 2026.
