Summary, notice description and lot information
The NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board has completed the procurement process for the "Community-Based Postural Stability Programme," with the final contract awarded to Fit4All. This service falls under the community health services category and will be conducted in the Telford and Wrekin area, covering the period from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026. The procurement process used was a limited procedure without prior publication, following the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, and the contract was awarded through a direct award (type C).
The total contract value is £50,968. This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialising in community health services, particularly those focusing on fall prevention and stability programs. The opportunity favours SMEs like Fit4All, which have demonstrated the ability to meet and potentially exceed service delivery standards, providing room for similar small to medium-sized enterprises to compete if future tenders arise.
By engaging in such initiatives, businesses can contribute positively to community health outcomes while expanding their service portfolio and client base within the health sector.
This Intention to Award Notice is issued in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The Procurement relates to the provision of the Community-Based Postural Stability Programme. NHS Shropshire Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board (NHS STW) currently holds a contract with Fit4All for this service and anticipates no change to the current service provision. Fit4Allprovides a community preventing falls programme through exercise mainly face to face in various venues across the Telford and Wrekin area with some online programmes. This supports people who have fallen or are at risk of falling to reduce the risk of them falling in the future, improving their quality of life, maintaining their independence and preventing admission to hospital. NHS STW is satisfied that the requirements for the provision of health care services are not changing considerably, i.e., they don't meet the considerable change threshold as set out in Regulation 6(10). The intention is to award a contract to Fit4All, the existing provider, via the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Regulation 9, Direct Award C. The contract period shall be for a period 12-months from 1st April 2025 to 31st March2026. The estimated contract value is PS50,968.00
